SCOPE™ is built for children, so privacy comes first. We collect the minimum information needed to deliver a developmental snapshot, we never sell student data, and we never use it for advertising.
To score assessments and produce reports; to support educators and families in nurturing student growth; and, in de-identified or aggregate form, to validate and improve the SCOPE framework. We do not sell personal information or use it to target advertising to children.
We intend to operate as a "school official" with a legitimate educational interest under FERPA, acting on schools' behalf, and to support schools in meeting COPPA obligations by relying on school consent for students under 13. A Data Processing Agreement governs our handling of student data for each partner.
Student data is stored with access controls and row-level security, restricted to authorized staff. Scoring keys and other sensitive materials are held server-side and are never exposed to the browser.
Schools direct retention and deletion of their students' data. On request or at contract end, we will return or delete personal data except where retention is required by law. Parents may exercise access and deletion rights through their child's school.
